Discernment in Romance: Workshop 1 - Is It Intuition, Fear, or Urgency?
Using discernment to create relationships that feel balanced, healthy, and true to you
Have you ever known something felt off in a romantic connection, but found yourself moving forward anyway?
Maybe you were attracted to them. Maybe you wanted clarity quickly. Maybe you were afraid that slowing down, saying no, or expressing what you needed would cause you to lose the connection.
Most women do not have an intuition problem.
They have an urgency problem - a subconscious fear of losing connection.
Discernment helps you slow down long enough to feel safe in understanding what you are feeling, what is actually happening, and what choice best honors you.
If you're someone who naturally receives information from many places at once, you may notice subtle shifts in people's behaviours, feel deeply, think deeply, and genuinely want to understand where others are coming from. These are beautiful qualities—but without discernment, they can make it easy to prioritize understanding someone else's experience while slowly losing touch with your own.
This is something I had to learn myself.
For a long time, I confused urgency with intuition, overrode my own needs, and gave more attention to understanding other people than understanding what felt true for me.
Learning to strengthen my discernment changed the way I approach relationships—not because I became perfect, but because I became more willing to make choices that honored myself, even when they felt uncomfortable.
Over time, something unexpected happened.
The more I honoured my needs, values, and boundaries, the more evidence I collected that I could trust myself.
I realized that self-trust isn't something we magically wake up with. It's something we strengthen, one decision at a time.
Instead of asking,
"How can I understand them better?"
discernment gently invites a different question:
"What is this relationship and the discomfort of slowing down asking me to understand about myself?"
This workshop is for women who are tired of second-guessing themselves, seeking constant reassurance, or overriding their own needs in order to feel chosen, accepted, or secure.
Rather than trying to predict another person's intentions or determine whether they are "your person," you'll learn how to recognize what deserves your trust before you act—so that every relationship becomes an opportunity to strengthen your discernment, deepen your self-trust, and create healthier, more meaningful connections.
In this workshop, you'll learn how to:
Understand the difference between intuition and discernment—and why they are not the same thing.
Learn a practical framework for weighing information from your intuition, emotions, body, spiritual guidance, and observable reality before making relationship decisions.
Recognize when urgency, fear of rejection, attraction, empathy, or the desire to keep the peace is influencing your choices more than your discernment.
Use time as a tool to observe consistency, character, compatibility, and how someone responds to your needs, boundaries, and authenticity.
Learn how to make relationship decisions that strengthen trust in yourself, one choice at a time.
Decide how much access, energy, intimacy, and investment feels right for you at each stage of a relationship.
Make relationship decisions that honor who you are, what you want, and the kind of love you are trying to build.
